Allcare is committed to caring for the welfare of our service users, their families and our staff members.
We are reviewing the way we do things daily and will endeavour to keep you all updated as far as possible, although we are aware of how important transparency is in situations like these, our main priority has been implementing new systems for safety so we would like to apologise if we have been quiet on our social media accounts during this time.
We are implementing strategies following the guidance we receive from the UK Government.
SERVICE USERS AND FAMILY MEMBERS:
-We are trying to carry on as normally as possible, and currently we have no staff members, or service users showing symptoms so all care packages are continuing at present without disruption. Should this change you will be notified.
-If you are the family member of a service user and you live with them and you or our service user or anyone in the home, develop any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19 we ask you to notify us immediately of your condition so we can risk assess and implement our strategic plans.
– The same applies to our service users, if you can notify us of your condition then we can ensure we are taking every measure to keep us all safe.
We have made the difficult decision to close our offices at 5.00pm on 24th March 2020, for the forseeable future, however the telephones will be manned throughout our usual business hours 9.00-5.00 Monday- Thursday and 9.00-4.00 on Fridays to deal with any problems, outside of these hours we will have the usual on call system in place for emergencies. We apologise in advance that it may take longer than usual to deal with any problems should outside advice need to be sought. Our office staff are all working from home, so we can ensure that all issues and queries are answered, even if it takes a little longer than usual.
We have also ceased all domestic work as this is classed as non-essential.
We are trying to take every measure possible to ensure the safety of our staff members, our service users and members of the public.
We are working on further contingencies this week to ensure that we are doing as much as possible to keep everyone out of harms way.
We would like to thank our dedicated team of staff who are still out there working through these uncertain times, you really are a credit to us and those you look after, taking every step you can to keep those individuals safe. We couldn’t be more proud of how you guys are handling this situation.
Keep up the good work, be wise and stay safe.
If you have queries or need to discuss anything you can get in touch by telephone on 01743 792980, use our website contact form or email us (you can phone for individual email addresses based on your needs).
We will keep all our staff and service users updated with daily/weekly updates.
